Peas and Bacon

We put bacon with almost everything, and have found a way to dress up green peas for a delicious side dish.  It’s a great way to use leftover bacon.  

Peas and Bacon

1 bag frozen steam-in-bag green peas

bacon, cooked and crumbled

olive oil

Steam peas in microwave according to directions but cut time down by a minute or two.

Move steamed peas from bag to skillet with a little olive oil.  Add in diced, cooked bacon or prosciutto.  You may add salt and pepper, garlic, whatever you like.
